STEP Video Submission Instructions

STEP Video Submission Instructions

Prospective students can choose to complete either the written STEP Student Application/Questionnaire, or complete a video submission (instruction’s here).

The video submission should:

  • be filmed horizontally (landscape)
  • be approximately 1-minute in length
  • be in .mp4 format
  • have the file named as “LASTNAME_FIRSTNAME_STEP_APPLICATION.mp4”
  • be attached to the application email submission ([email protected]) or dropped-off at the school on a labelled USB

The video submission must include your name and responses to:

  • Why would you like to be a part of Lockerby Composite’s Science & Technology Education Program?
  • Please indicate your current interests (hobbies, sports, volunteer activities) and any of your awards and/or achievements from the last two years).
  • STEP students demonstrate many of the following characteristics.  Explain how two or three of these characteristics best describes you
    • curiosity
    • imagination
    • problem-solving
    • critical thinking
    • self-motivation
    • responsibility
    • adaptability
    • collaboration
